What is most important from a candle? I would say that the wax - would not you? Once upon a time not given many options but now there are several options available. Most wax today is a form of refined oil such as paraffin. Paraffin wax is the most common type of wax.

Wax Paraffin is readily available and inexpensive. Soy wax palm and laurel berries are some natural ingredients that you can get for your candle making hobby. Soy is another type of natural ingredient that is growing in popularity - especially with the "green" movement. Soybeans are grown mainly in the states of Iowa, Indiana and Illinois. The palm trees also produce palm, which is another natural and renewable resources. Unfortunately, however, in Southeast Asia, vast areas of forests tropics are being destroyed to harvest palm. If you happen to buy wax palm, try to check for eco-friendly and harvesting techniques that will make the environment a favor!

If you go to the Catholic Church lately, you'll notice that the wax of sweet-smelling candles by the altar. The wax is beeswax. Beeswax comes in white or yellow and has a pleasant smell nice. However, it is the cheapest type of wax, but has long lasting qualities and sailmakers who love to use it.

If you want to be creative, you may want to try the gel wax. This is a clear, rubbery texture, but it works the same as wax. Gel wax is sold in different types of densities. Depending on the type of candle you want to do, its density will depend on that. For example, if you want light a scented candle you go with a low density - which can be poured at a low temperature and high density, if you want to put a lot of fragrance. However, the density media is the most commonly used wax to work. Gel wax is also great for decoration. As you can see, so many varieties available that can not have an end to the types of projects that could reach!
