James Taylor - the eminent singer, songwriter, musician and artist of the 70s was born in Boston in 1948 and raised in the university town of Chapel Hill, NC North. In summer with his family on Martha's Vineyard, he met fellow guitarist and composer Danny Kortchmar Kootch and began performing. Was established and began writing songs during their stay.

Moving to New York, Taylor formed the Flying Machine with Kortchmar in 1966. After the spill, he went to London, where he lived for a year. After a demo tape, got signed to Apple Records, The Beatles on A & R Peter Asher, who became its director and producer. The debut album James Taylor (1968) contains Taylors Carolina Classic in my mind. He grew up in North Carolina, James now lives in western Massachusetts. Her warm baritone is one of the most recognized voices in popular music and his guitar playing has established its own standard.

Throughout his long career, James Taylor has won 40 gold, platinum and multi-platinum and 5 Grammy Awards for a catalog that goes from 1970 Sweet Baby James to his Grammy Award-winning efforts Hourglass (1997) and October Road (2002). First Greatest Hits Album from Taylor got him the RIAA's elite Diamond Award, for sales in more than 10 million units in the United States. His songs, "Fire and Rain," "Country Road", "Something In The Way She Moves," "Mexico," "Shower The People" "Your Smiling Face," "Carolina in My Mind," "Sweet Baby James", "Do not Let Me Be Lonely Tonight," "You Can Close Your Eyes, "" Walking Man, "" Never Die Young, "" Shed a Little Light "," Copperline ", etc. have a profound influence on the work of composers and music lovers of all generations and from all walks of life., James an example for solo singer and composer inspiration as a recording and touring artist.

Sweet Baby James James released in 1970, which received triple platinum, and "Fire and Rain" reached the Top 10. The album Gorilla (1975) includes two main entrances hits "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)" and "Mexico". After its Warner final recording of the Brothers, in his pocket, James moved to Columbia Records and released a series of critically acclaimed albums and commercially successful: JT, its debut in 1977, double platinum and included in the Top 10 cover of "Jimmy Jones' Handy Man," a song that gave Taylor another Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal. Bandera (1979) Dad Loves His Work (1981), That's Why I'm Here (1985), Never Die Young (1988), New Moon Shine (1991) and the double live album (1993), Taylor's show consistency: all were certified platinum.

Hourglass (1998) James won his first Grammy for Best Pop Album, and October Road (2002), another Grammy winner, also enjoyed platinum sales.
