The Kama Sutra written by Vatsyayana consisted of seven sections divided into thirty-six chapters. We will discuss each of these sections to collect the details of what Vatsyayana is trying to convey in the Kama Sutra and the importance placed on specific issues.
Section One - Introduction
The first section Kama Sutra consists of five chapters that explain the content of the manuscript, the three main objectives and priorities of life according to Hindu belief system of the day, carry out the acquisition of knowledge, suitable for well-educated citizens and various reflections on intermediaries who assist the lover in his enterprises.
Section Two-On Sexual Union
The second section of the Kama Sutra was composed of ten chapters on stimulation of desire, the different forms of hugging, touching and kisses, marking a partner with the use of nails, biting and marking a couple using the teeth in mating position, explanations of sexual practices, such as slapping his hand and moaning that accompanied the practice, evidence of masculine behavior in females, higher sexual intercourse and oral sex practices, together with preludes and conclusions to the game of love. There are 64 types of sexual acts described in this section that has become part of the Kama Sutra for which the book is best known.
Section Three - on the acquisition of a wife
Section three of the Kama Sutra was composed of five chapters on the forms of marriage, how to relax and get the girl, how to manage appropriate only when a wife can not be found and the union by marriage.
Section four a wife
Section consists of four lawyers to the different types of women of a Hindu gentleman may have had. There are two chapters dealing with the conduct of wives. The section of the Kama Sutra yields advice to lonely wife in how to behave. This section of the Kama Sutra also explained the behavior of the chief wife and other wives in a house with several wives and concubines.
Section Five - the wives of others
This section of the Kama Sutra was composed of six chapters on the behavior of women and men. It includes advice on methods Mans seduce another woman, including meetings to meet, the consideration of the feelings, functions and advantages of intermediaries, the pleasures of the king and his harem and ways to circumvent security measures could brave security and enjoy the pleasures and conduct befitting a gentleman in the Indian women's gynoecium or apartments.
Section Six - About courtesans
Section Six of the Kama Sutra was composed of six chapters on the best use of the advice of the assistants on the choice of lovers, finding a steady lover, the courtesan set of skills and ways to make money, the best way to renew friendship with a former lover, generating windfall profits and dealing with gains and losses associated with being a courtesan.
