Dr. Ivo Pitanguy, known as the king of 'The plastic surgery is a plastic surgeon legendary not only in Brazil but worldwide. Recognized as one of the most prominent plastic surgeons in the world, Ivo Pitanguy has enhanced the appearance of hundreds of celebrities and thousands of others. He is the director of the Clinica Ivo Pitanguy, the most prestigious cosmetic surgery facility in the world. He is also the head and professor of Post-Graduate Medical School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and the Carlos Chagas Institute of Post Graduate Medical Studies where plastic surgery facilities for the masses are provided by a team of plastic surgeons under the supervision of Prof.Ivo Pitanguy in line with its philosophy and techniques.

Dr. Ivo Pitanguy was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in 1926 and graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro School of Medicine 1940s.Dr. Pitanguy later educated in the U.S. and France, and commenced practice in Rio de Janeiro in developed and innovated 1950s.He different plastic surgery techniques and became a pioneer of plastic surgery in Latin America.

The center also offers wide range of surgical procedures aesthetics to the masses in general at a nominal cost. Here, more than a thousand and aesthetic plastic surgery are performed each year by the team of more than 40 surgeons plastics.

Professor Ivo Pitanguy is credited with the invention of 100 plastic and cosmetic surgery techniques. Ha received numerous national and international honors. He was honored with the title Chancellier Universities of Paris and Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Tel Aviv in Israel, among many others. As guest lecturer, he has presented his work at several conferences and more than 100 institutions, hospitals, universities and associations of plastic surgery All world.Ivo Pitanguy is the author of more than 800 papers published in various international scientific journals and has written numerous book chapters in books plastic surgery. His book, "Plastic Surgery of the Head and Body", which was launched in 1981 at the Frankfurt Book Fair, received the award the best scientific book of that year and became an important comprehensive source of knowledge of aesthetic plastic surgery.

Besides his work, shows the jet-set lifestyle, international travel and his beautiful home.Prof Pitanguy can speak several languages and is an avid art collector and philanthropist. "I try to harmonize my life between surgeries, lectures and conferences without renouncing the joy of living," says Dr. Pitanguy. ardent nature lover, Dr. Pitanguy also devotes much of his time to environmental protection. In the 1970s, created an ecological sanctuary on the island of Grande Porcos. It also has a passion for art, and was president of the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro from 1975 to 1985. Professor Pitanguy has received countless awards for his work, and was particularly proud in 1999 when his life became the theme "The Universe of Beauty", a show in Rio de Janeiro samba school popular Caprichosos Pilares.

In truth, the beauty in search of physical and mental well-being is a right for all. The desire to beautify and bring it all to dream. Dr. Pitanguy has assumed this task since more than half a century.
