H2S Hydrogen sulfide is the main source of sulfur. At high concentrations can be lethal. It comes in natural gas, oil, volcanic emissions, and some minerals. In rfining oil processes its presence is undesirable and should be removed. The process of the clause is one of the methods used to remove hydrogen sulfide, and while doing so, the recovery of elementary sulfur.

In the process of removing sulfur pactice this requires a gas-tight, zero leakage, high temperature and high pressure fan for intermittent, which must handle the toxic gases and should be able to be put into service immediately upon demand. To this end the following characteristics in the fan must have:

- Double seam construction housing;
- The steam flows between the walls of the house to keep the temperature constant gas at 285 F in the interior fan (below 285 F sulfur changes from a gaseous to a solid state and freeze causing the fan surfaces damage or destruction);
- A mechanical shaft seal with heat tracing and purge air or nitrogen;
- To ensure tight tolerances between the shaft and shaft seal, housing must be supported at the centerline, and growing fan shaft concentric when exposed to heat.: since this support housing isolated from the unit and mounting bases, the thermal growth of housing does not cause the forces to be applied to these bases.
- To prevent the tree from taking a permanent set when the fan is inactive, but remain exposed to high temperatures, a gear shift is always to keep the fan spinning at a very slow speed of 25 to 40 RPM, alternatively, a VFD speed control can be used
