Is there a line you could say the reverse was confirmed at Confirmation?

Someone I know is confirmed, and not wan tto go ahead with it, and I read somewhere that there is a line that can be said during the ceremony of confirmation that just silly ritual. Does anyone know what this line is?

Not that I know. Why go through all of the preparation if not? Just get me to tell the teacher that she does not feel he's ready. (Do not tell the teacher that she thinks it's a silly ritual or inviting a bunch of grief that she will not try.) May be harder to convince parents that she will not be confirmed, but if the teacher knows that it can be useful. I am sure the teacher did not want to do unless you want.
